Pros

Able to move around between global offices. Flexibility in wfh policy (28 days per quarter). Actual flexibility with the work schedules is very not true - fully 9-6 job.

Cons

Lack of care about its employees and do not put it enough effort to keep the current employees happy. Employee retention rate is very low for a reason as despite multiple courses for development purposes, the actual development plan for the employees are always being 'discussed' but actually not being put into action. Most people at Emma, it's their first job, so quite unprofessional within the work environment. Senior management cannot think long term strategy and had a massive layoff recently without clear plan. Many of the higher level team leads are leaving the company as C-level puts them in a position to be pressured to leave despite their lack of ability to make good long-term strategic business decisions.

Pros

1. Allows young people to come forth and work in a challenging environment and industry- helps in learning 2. More ownership given and has a pretty flat hierarchy

Cons

1. No culture at all- there is a very high churn rate and alot of employees are inexperienced- hence poor leadership on the C-suite level as well as within country teams and global teams 2. Poor decision making due to lack of experience within the company- and it shows since the P&L is overall not healthy, and there has been alot of money lost in the past because of a lack of processes within the company 3. Lack of processes in the company- the company's operations system is not solid, hence the company is facing consumer complaints and legal issues in possibly every country. The comapny is constantly in fire fighting mode 4. The company is focused only on short term gains and no long term planning, hence they are in a tough position now with their financials and have had to close down ops in alot of countries

Pros

- Everyone was friendly - Good payment for the Portuguese market

Cons

- Really junior management especially at C-level. - All money is spent in marketing so don't expect much from tech or r&d. - Layoffs without a warning. - Political, be careful with what you say.
