Great at first, no growth and no job security.. Good old boys club, who you can suck up to, not what you do.
Pros
Decent pay for industry and decent product line
Cons
No room for advancement unless you are corporate. All managers are younger with no dairy, agriculture or sales experience, yet they are the bosses. They are paid $125,000 plus with $10,000 plus bonuses, while you worry about losing job and have deals killed and ruined by management that has no idea how to sell or deal with agriculture customers. Company fires employees who have been there forever and will let you go the closer you are to retirement. They push their products and ride you about not making sales, even though they are not competitive on most of their products. Heard several over the years that customers should expect to pay at least 10% more just because it says DeLaval on it. That mentality may have worked years ago, but In today's market, competitions are almost equal if not equal on product offerings. The dairy market is a shrinking and a mentality like delavals with kill a business.
