Pros

Ok so some good and bad reviews on here. A mixed bag of both good and bad from my perspective. It was a really lovely genuine place to work with great potential. A the company have grown things were good, but as uncertainty in the industry gets worse, it has transpired through the management to the rest of the staff. Have to agree that it's very clicky and your face definitely has to fit, and some members of management do not possess the skills to do the job or manage people correcty.

Cons

A real shame to war so many negatives however that many people cannot be wrong about its current state

Hi, thanks for taking the time to comment. There's a lot we do well at Crystal and definitely a lot we can, and will, do better. It takes feedback and involvement from our colleagues to make a better business, though. Your comments about "clicky-ness" and managers are noted and I will take these back to my leadership team to see how we can learn. We are committed to creating opportunities based on merit. Interestingly, a recent analysis of roles has shown that nearly 33% of our colleagues now do different roles to those they originally started in. And, I am proud to say that 100% of my leadership team have been promoted from within the business based on their attitude, enthusiasm, capability and commitment. Thanks Tony CEO

Pros

Reasonable social aspects. CEO seems like a reasonable guy and genuinely seems to have good intentions for the company.

Cons

Upon joining the company, it was clear that lack of communication between departments and staff was a issue. Most staff felt unappreciated and unsure of the future of the company, actions taken by management didn't make the uncertainties about redundancies and lack of opportunity any easier. Redundancy was never discussed and always made to think that the business was doing well but at the same time clearly looking for any excuse to show staff the door and not replace them when staff left or got sacked... Management is very cliquey and unprofessional, positions created for personal favourites within the company and internal interview process was fixed to ensure the personal favourites got the positions. Poorly managed business and are facing real problems internally... I can't see how the business is going to go on into the future once PPI has had its time.

Hi, I appreciate you taking time to feedback. I read all of these comments personally to see where we can improve. Please allow me to respond. We are a business that has ambitions and aspirations. We have high standards and expectations. Those that don't meet what we require are offered the chance to develop their careers elsewhere. Those that do become part of our family and we support and develop them. Crystal has a brilliant future and we are committed to filling new roles with those who show passion, commitment and a will to develop and give great service. Interestingly, a recent analysis of roles has shown that nearly 33% of our colleagues now do different roles to those they originally started in. And, I am proud to say that 100% of my leadership team have been promoted from within the business based on their attitude, enthusiasm, capability and commitment. There is still a lot of work for us to do and I definitely recognise that. We're a very young business with some processes not quite there but our culture is really exciting. What's really important is that we achieve our 3 objectives of Maximum Impact, Destination Employer and New Horizons but we need the help of all of our colleagues to get there. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you but would hope you keep in touch in the future as we grow. Thanks Tony CEO

Pros

As the current Marketing Assistant, the only one in the company, I am very happy in my role. I am being thoroughly supported in new tasks and I am being given the opportunity to look for a qualification to further develop my skills. I have been employed by Crystal for over a year now and in this time I have been made to feel part of the team and also the family. The social events are a calendar highlight for all involved and the management team are working hard along side the Colleague Engagement team to improve all aspect of the business. Being independent is a key part to my role, i have enjoyed managing my own time and working with us when necessary to complete a goal/project. Teamwork is something that has been emphasized more recently and it has given the team a boost.

Cons

There have been some challenging times and I am sure there will be many more, but I am glad to say we always come out the other side with a smile on my face. Communication with both customers and employees is being improved and this can be seen across the company.
