Pros

I really enjoy working in Crate and Barrel, if you are a homemaker, a cook, or a decorator, you will love to work in Crate and Barrel, they constantly change the store layout, so you always feel like you are shopping in a new store. You can learn a lot of product knowledge here

Cons

Your hours should be as flexible as you possibly can be, it's retail, you only get to know your hours two weeks ahead of time, you may make a request to get specific time off. The hours are not stable and set for you to schedule other things.

Pros

Great product and reasonable quality of merchandise. Crate provides a decent employee discount and the staff are a great mix of personalities. Management is fairly flexible.

Cons

As a part-time staff member you are given limited training as well as a very narrow introduction to the company and it's vision. After a few days you are "thrown into the deep end" and expected to perform, or rely on the help of fellow staff members. Management spends a great deal of time in the office, and is not a presence on the sales floor.

The discount after you hit the 5 year mark.....Congrats you win yourself 40% off!

Cons

Long hours, back breaking work,having an opinion could black list you, not being liked by people because fo things that have nothing to do with accomplishing a task such as how one is dressed, being called "sassy" by upper mangement if they deem you to have an "attitude, lots of condecending behavior.....I could go on and on so I will stop here. Because of the overuse of the word sassy I don't like anyone to use the word to describe me and I have banned the word from my very own vocabulary.
