Pros

Working from home - they have a lot of employees working remotely and they offer great training

Cons

First, there is no job security. If your client discontinues the contract with Cielo, you are on your own to find a new position within 1-2 weeks typically. They don’t just place you in a temporary role until transfer. Plus, the last few January/Februarys they have just decided to cut employees for NO good reason, even after the company does well. Second, the culture is frantic–you’ll be expected to handle requisition loads up to 80-100 (not entry level either), which is not feasible for professional positions. My last two “leads”was a micro-managers that make you feel on edge every time they call. I typically never felt that I was doing things right – I was just waiting to be told what I did wrong “this time” Many employees don’t take their vacation because they don’t feel like they can take the time and/or they don’t want to overwork their already overwhelmed co-workers. Third, the benefits are not competitive. We previously had a good PPO plan, but they switched to all high deductible plans (even the PPO’s have outrageous deductibles). The 401K Match is 1.5% on 4% - not at all competitive. The vacation plans are good and you increase quickly.

Hi, this is Tara Cassady, EVP of Client Services for the Americas. Thank you for your feedback about the training and work-from-home opportunities we offer. Our goal is to empower our people to own their success, and to give them the flexibility they need to create a sense of work/life balance. I know the workload can be demanding at times, but leaders should be working with their teams to help manage priorities and expectations. I’m sorry if that wasn’t the case for you. Account transitions do happen in our industry, and when they do, we do everything we can to assist our people in finding internal positions. With respect to your mention of benefits, our People & Culture team reviews our Total Rewards package on an ongoing basis to ensure we are accommodating our employees’ unique needs and that we remain competitive in the market – I’ll be sure to share your feedback with them. Your post indicates that you’ve already left Cielo, but if you’d like to share more specifics about your experience, you can contact me any time at tara.cassady@cielotalent.com.

Pros

I worked remote, work was understanding for doctor’s appointments, etc. salary is low, but being remote compensates for it. Good PTO.

Cons

Toxic leader within my team. Have been chastised for using the open door policy. Outright lies told about employees and blindly accepted by HR and employees are not given the opportunity to discuss or defend. Raises within my team are unheard of. Management speaks ill of employees to other employees. Quarterly goals were changed so it was looked like they weren’t met.

Pros

You learn about the kind of place you don’t want to work and the kind of boss you don’t want to be!

Cons

Very low pay, very high turn over, poor leadership, poor internal HR , cultish type culture, constantly losing accounts and laying off staff. Just lost Ascension due to poor performance and breach of contract. Huge loss......they won’t recover. Time for the CEO to retire.

Yikes! I believe that everyone deserves a career they love, and it’s clear that we’re not delivering on that for you. I encourage you to speak with me, your leader or a leader you’re most comfortable with about your concerns. 2018 is off to a very strong start with new client wins, new colleagues joining Cielo, and strong client satisfaction. I hope that you’ll use the feedback channels available to you so that you can share in our success. My door is always open or contact me any time at sue.marks@cielotalent.com.
