Stressful and constricting

Pros

You ultimately end up doing good work, as in the larger institutional goal is to help people. However, the road to that goal is paved with major dysfunction.

Cons

The senior management trusts no one. Your time is policed, your interactions are policed, and even things brought to the attention of HR become the fuel for witch hunts. People are in constant fear for their jobs, and emotions tend to run very high. It's a stressful environment with no real outlets for dealing with the stress, other than quitting.

Great support staff, poor incentives and pay

Pros

Great place to learn the basics if you're just moving to the city and are young. Your ideas won't get heard, but you will gain experience.

Cons

The pay is base level and most of the talented employees that work there are made to feel like their jobs are always on the line. The CEO is not so nice. The CEO also has two dogs that have bitten staff members/torn their shirts/bark loudly and viciously whenever staff or guests enter the office. The grants this company gets are huge but the staff for these grants are over-worked and under-paid. An earlier review talked about witch hunts and it is very true. You will often be called into large meetings, vaguely barked out about some random sexual harassment or gossip chatter, or schooled on what you can or can't wear like a middle school child. The company is disorganized and there are a lot of audits that happen because of this disorganization. The State's relationship with this country is also poor.

Don’t leave your stable job for this !

Pros

Some nice people, that’s about it.

Cons

Horrible experience ! I left my stable job with benefits and started working here , shortly they let me go. They micromanage way too much, don’t allow you to show your skills and show you a good fit . On top of that, they expect you to not have a social life and give your life to a company. They expect you to make your career your identity . Why would I make my career my identity? I have a life that I care for. Anyways , if you have a stable job wait for the next opportunity. God knew I hated working there and he did what he needed to do.
