Pros

I can’t think of a single reason you’d want to work for Brightstar Wireless. Unless you like being treated like garbage and working for $8 an hour, don’t work here.

Cons

The base pay is $8 an hour, and if you don’t hit there ridiculous minimums, they will take away 100% of your commissions. Don’t forget about chargebacks. If you manager forgets to send a phone back to the warehouse, Brightstar covers their losses by charging the employee an excess of $500. Brightstar is always looking for mangers and sales reps to hire, because of that they hire anyone. The result is the managers are horrible. Rude, ignorant, and mine frequently sexual my harassed employee’s. After multiple complaints to upper management, they did nothing. The company has some very shady business practices. They will do whatever necessary to yield the biggest profits. This includes many cases of fraud that the company pressures you to do. They enforce you to purposefully lie to customers by promising free cellphones which in a short amount of time will bloat customers bill by $100’s of dollars.

Pros

Honestly no pros working for this company other than my coworkers.

Cons

The list is too long regarding cons but nonetheless these are the most important ones... 1. Pay your hardworking employees more money people put in a lot of work for insufficient pay 2. Get better upper management. The inconsistency of leadership is frustrating and doesn’t give the people the support they need. 3. Stop promoting people who don’t deserve it. A lot of people in the store level leadership don’t deserve their position and are only appointed it cuz the dms are desperate to staff their stores.

Pros

Quick advancement, loved my co workers

Cons

Distrusting upper management/corporate while in verse is untrustworthy. Pay schedule is shady, they held my last commission check $500 even though I worked the hours and made the sales and gave proper notice. Where did that money go? Who’s pocket? Also they refuse to pay full commission so all employees commission is short each paycheck but corporate has a grand trip to Vegas each year.. makes a lot of sense
