Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Location in SF is convenient

Cons

Working at appsflyer was a toxic work experience for me. My experience with HR was not good - When I went to them about the issues and concerns I had, they used it to retaliate. Management was mostly white, Israeli males. They needed diversity and inclusion training. If you interview with them, I suggest asking for a breakdown of the leadership team and figuring out how many of them are non-Israeli men. There was a underlying tension with the HQ office in Israel that management fostered. It was exhausting to constantly feel at odds with my colleagues. I was even asked to report/tattle on what was going on in my office to HQ but felt uncomfortable. Management looked the other way when employees treated others inappropriately, I was hired to be a buffer between my difficult and disruptive manager and the employees in my office. I wish they disclosed this to me when I interviewed. I was talked to inappropriately but was not given constructive criticism on how to improve. I felt bullied.

AppsFlyer Response

Diversity and inclusion remains a company priority in our hiring and all of our other policies. Trust and transparency is an important AppsFlyer value. It's part of the reason that following the company engagement survey, we shared the results with the entire staff. I'm sorry you had the experience of interpreting your role to report/ tattle. This is in stark contrast to our values and not something we have seen or heard of before. We do however encourage an "Open Door Policy" where everyone can speak to anyone, including Oren Kaniel our CEO and Co-Founder. Dialogue and feedback are always welcome because learning and curiosity are also company values. We never know where innovation will come from.

Amazing People... Bad Work Life and No Job Growth

Pros

- Get to work with amazing people in the american offices. You work with people you will truly be happy to see every day - Solid product with good market share

Cons

- Very little if No room for growth outside of working in the HQ office. The job you are hired for will most likely be the job you remain in unless you stay for over 4+ years. - HQ is based in another country and works with a much different mentality then the US market... basically very little work-life balance - Also, the US leadership has no say even though you will be told they consistently do as all and every decision is made by leadership in HQ - I think the worst part was the micromanagement in the company which seems to stem from the HQ office where the work culture is much different. However, this trickles down into other offices and can make work very difficult.
