Pros
Some flexibility with your work schedule and the ability to work from home, but this privilege is not fairly distributed.
Cons
There’s a PACE tool on every computer now which will track your every move in a report to your manager. Most salaried workers are working well over 40 hours a week, but are still behind. There’s been a lot of recent layoffs and reorganization since we became Alight Solutions in June 2017. Constantly rolling out new titles and cutting company costs by taking from employees. The most recent example is charging 10 cents per piece of plastic silverware in the cafeteria. Recently reduced the number of pay bands which makes it harder to move up and make more money. Extremely difficult to get an exceeding expectations performance review, and even when you do there’s not much of a raise, about 2-3% on the high end. Healthcare costs for employees have doubled since becoming Alight. We were told it’s due to our population of employees having the most claims. If our group is in need of so much healthcare it may be because we have no gym or wellness incentives. They took away our onsite pharmacy and our onsite flu shots. You Only BCBS/UHC HMO coverage is roughly $430 a month. There’s high turnover due to overworking and underpaying colleagues.
