Pros

Some flexibility with your work schedule and the ability to work from home, but this privilege is not fairly distributed.

Cons

There’s a PACE tool on every computer now which will track your every move in a report to your manager. Most salaried workers are working well over 40 hours a week, but are still behind. There’s been a lot of recent layoffs and reorganization since we became Alight Solutions in June 2017. Constantly rolling out new titles and cutting company costs by taking from employees. The most recent example is charging 10 cents per piece of plastic silverware in the cafeteria. Recently reduced the number of pay bands which makes it harder to move up and make more money. Extremely difficult to get an exceeding expectations performance review, and even when you do there’s not much of a raise, about 2-3% on the high end. Healthcare costs for employees have doubled since becoming Alight. We were told it’s due to our population of employees having the most claims. If our group is in need of so much healthcare it may be because we have no gym or wellness incentives. They took away our onsite pharmacy and our onsite flu shots. You Only BCBS/UHC HMO coverage is roughly $430 a month. There’s high turnover due to overworking and underpaying colleagues.

Pros

work from home, paycheck, benefits while they last

Cons

Double jeopardy, get punished multiple times for same infraction. If someone complains it is ALWAYS YOUR FAULT! Fired me after my son was diagnosed with cancer and they knew about it. I had 89 hours of sick time, and they refused to pay me for those hours after I was fired. They knew I was going to be using those hours after my son's diagnosis. Their client requested that I be coached, the coaching took place. However, the person in upper management who I reported to HR in the past for writing me up after I was already reprimanded for a person who complained double jeopardy again decided to fire me. They also wanted to make sure that I knew they would do what they could to prevent me from getting unemployment. I always met and exceeded metrics. I am sure she is gloating for firing me. KARMA will get her, and the company. Nevermind the screaming callers that cuss you out, this company will stab you in the back when you lease expect it. Their Alight values are fake.

Pros

Lots of good people still work here The culture isn't horrifically bad They like to promote from within if you can stand being around long enough Remote-first workplace

Cons

Ancient technology undergirds all of the key benefits-related systems and they have no plans to update it Company pays below market rate for the level of work they expect Outsourced labor to India is just awful to deal with. They are constantly producing quality issues the NA teams are expected to just clean up. There is literally never enough staff to get things done. Wipro is a revolving door and people are constantly shuffling on and off teams. There is very little opportunity for training and development The benefits keep getting more expensive every year but raises do not compensate Many teams, because of the massive time difference between US and India, have a very difficult time getting and staying organized A lot of roles within the company just struggle with the basics and you're never able to catch up
