Pros

Great autonomy, passionate people, travel, not repetitive. Senior Management is doing a great job with managing growth and bringing AC into the 21st century with new technology and fleet renewal.

Cons

Non-unionized employees generally ignored by senior management. Promotions don't come with raises, annual increases limited to 2-2.5%, benefits are expensive, parking is a taxable benefit, and managers often spread too thin with under-staffed union workforce. Unfortunately most unionized staff think the middle managers are out to get them and believe we are vastly overpaid. Most C and D band managers work 60 hours a week plus travel, chained to old Blackberry's, travel on shoestring budgets, make $60k a year and hoping for a 6-8% Annual Incentive Plan payout that is contingent on the airline being profitable. Turnover among the strong talent is very high, as compensation is well below market value.
