Pros

Was a great place to work when times were good.

Cons

Recent CEO and other Sr Leadership changes have not really been addressed. EBIDTA has not been announced. Company is obviously not doing well but hiring new, made up high level job titles. US based teams being "redeployed" (laid off) while training replacements in cheaper countries. Current Interim CEO is the former CFO so everything that costs money is on the chopping block right now. I'm pretty sure this company is bleeding money from previous poor decisions and is treating currently employees like cogs in the wheel.

Pros

Remote working. Opportunities to be involved in wider projects/initiatives depending on who your Manager is. I made some lifelong friends.

Cons

Empty promises re. career development. AMS have rinsed my skills and value-add work, paying me at my current band, keeping me delivering by repeated promises of promotions that were never delivered. I then had a complete change of attitude towards me from my Managers as I pulled back on additional projects to focus only on my actual JD work because I had nothing in return. No bonuses, and an extremely low salary increase. Low-cost location strategy to hire only in either Belfast or Poland has meant that there are zero remote opportunities within Sourcing if based in the UK. From when I started 3 years ago to now, I don’t even recognise the company anymore. “Motivating” by making us solely focused on targets and numbers and being micro-managed. All autonomy stripped away, and nothing offered in return for hard work. I got bored of fighting for my worth.

Many thanks for taking the time to post a review. It is disappointing to read your thoughts regarding our great culture and development opportunities, something we pride ourselves on, having enabled 2,837 promotions and lateral moves in the last two years. In terms of our location strategy, as a global organisation, it’s critical that have the right people in the right roles in the right locations, ensuring we continue to leverage the talent in our global markets, aligned to our client’s needs, enabling our people to come together to connect and collaborate. We always want to put our people first, so please feel free to reach out, confidentially, so we can discuss any of this in more detail. I can be reached on Stephanie.Gillingham@weareams.com. Kind regards, Steph – Global Head of HR Partnering.

Pros

work from home some great managers

Cons

-as with any consulting work, you don't know what client you get and you can't choose your clients -company set up is very confusing -no bonuses -you can be laid off at anytime if they don't have clients -they would rather hire new consultants than retain and promote the ones they have internally
