Pros

The position is fully remote.

Cons

Outsourcing my team to their Philippines location. Making our team leads train the Philippines team before laying all of us off. With a little less than 2 months notice, right before the holidays. Our severance is 2 weeks.

Pros

you get to do multiple jobs for the price of one

Cons

All the positive reviews are from people who drank the punch and are "highly encouraged" to share how wonderful of a place it is to work. Yes there are opportunities to advance in the workplace but only if you want to wait indefinitely or suck up to management. People are only working there as a stepping stone for the next job.

Pros

I’d say remote capabilities, but depends on a manger too. Pre Covid - AMS had great employee engagement. Lots of opportunities to connect during work and outside of work. They made you believe they actually cared about the employees. Post Covid - not so much. First holiday party with the company pre Covid was like a ball. The first one post Covid was at a pizza shop. They said managers didn’t want a big party….. Can gain experience in a few different areas if you’re lucky to move around. Entry level welcomed. If you have a well grounded manager with emotional intelligence, you can have a pleasant experience. You might enjoy it. ( depends on manager)

Cons

Lowball salaries. Very small increases. Your manager makes or breaks your success. There’s not much hope for moving up unless you’re a favorite. Some managers are hateful. They will fire permanent roles over contractors to spite you. Or hire new contractors full time over contractors who have already been there out of spite. They’ll tell you, you can advance and they’re dedicated to your advancement, but most higher positions are held by middle aged or older. Doesn’t seem like it’s changing soon at all. Very outdated fear tactic managerial styles. Micromanaging, inferiority, ego stroking. Etc. You may hate your life. I cried a lot. Never ever join offers on MS if you don’t listen to anything else. Got a friend hired. They quit in less than a month. You become conditioned to the terrible circumstances.
