Pros

In 2017, AGCO was growing dynamically on a global scale. The HR, IT and Finance departments were expanding significantly, and there was a strong sense of momentum in the organization. The office in Office Garden was spacious, modern and well equipped, creating a comfortable working environment. There were regular opportunities for business trips to other AGCO sites worldwide, which helped employees build international connections and gain valuable experience. It was also a great place for students and fresh graduates, who often started as interns and were later offered full-time positions. The company supported a good work-life balance and offered the option to work from home, which was highly appreciated. The atmosphere was generally collaborative, and teams had the freedom to take ownership of their work. Career advancement was possible, even if not always easy to achieve, and motivated employees could progress with persistence and dedication.

Cons

Since Viren Shah joined AGCO as CDIO in early 2024, he and Eric Hansotia decided to outsource all IT functions to India. In the autumn of 2024, a global 6% workforce reduction was announced, with the IT organization being the most affected. All internal IT services were transferred to Infosys. From the Budapest office alone, 97 out of 477 employees were laid off, and afterward more than 40 others resigned voluntarily. In the autumn of 2025, the application teams were also outsourced, this time to Cognizant. Students and interns can no longer be retained or hired, and one entire floor of the office building was returned, as 320 people no longer require three floors of space. As a result of these changes, employee morale declined sharply. Many of the most experienced and knowledgeable professionals have left, taking years of expertise with them. Collaboration and response times have significantly worsened, and communication with external vendors has become slow and inefficient. The remaining teams often struggle with unclear responsibilities and constant turnover on the vendor side. Service quality has deteriorated dramatically, with frequent delays, errors and a lack of ownership. Business stakeholders have reported growing frustration due to poor support and the loss of trusted internal partners. What used to be a stable, knowledgeable in-house IT organization has been replaced by detached external providers who have little understanding of AGCO’s processes, systems and culture. This outsourcing strategy—locked in for five years—has already shown negative operational and financial consequences. What was once a strong, collaborative and future-oriented IT community has largely been dismantled, and the long-term impact on the company’s effectiveness and reputation is becoming increasingly visible.

Pros

Good Employee Benefits in terms of Allowance and Bonus and Medical Assurance Policy of 5 lacs to 15 Lacs, total number of Leaves through out year and also having flexibility to opt for remote work based on project team.

Cons

Senior management doesn't know what happens at ground level. They just relies on supervisor words. Even they know truth they come to actual point of cost cutting in changing/updating benefits policies and reducing head counts in terms of putting you in lower performance where as in case you won't get actual good opportunity to show case your talent. Most of Senior Emolyee came from Infosys(who were handeling this project on infosys payroll) and they joined as AGCO Payroll and ruling project like King as legacy team member. Senior Management should be transparent to all lower position associates. Higher management doesn't know on ground level situation if someone is get trapped into IT politics. If you have more capabilities to grow more if you won't get sufficient enough opportunity why because existing senior employee won't want lose their own importance and you would be being played like puppet under their guidance and end of year blame would come to you.

Pros

Competitive salary and package at least for my position. Interesting job opportunity that I was really excited about when I joined.

Cons

Where do I start.... - no induction training - no handover - no job specific induction - I had to order each and every account for myself without knowing what they will be for - From the get go stressful, pushy and clueless leaders with lack of support - I had to make sense of what tools I'll need - I had to find out for myself whom are going to be my working business partners - After my probation period I felt like I was working there for years with the amount of information I had to process and I owned - No working knowledge of ITSM standards (a few good people holding together the framework) - Working with SAFe is something that is overly complicated, stressful and requires 150% of your dedication - Constant travel which they forgot to tell me during my interview - Work life balance is a term that they have not heard of as I was constantly doing overtime and barely kept up with my duties - Working remotely to the extent that I have barely met my team and coworkers - No visible career progression plan in place so I assume favouritism - Money is not spent wisely on travels, tools, etc - No buddy system to be able to speak freely with someone outside your department - No HR Business Partner to keep in touch with - I felt alone and vulnerable and the salary at the end of the day was not able to keep me - I could keep on going but that would pinpoint who I might be and don't want this to fall back on me in any way
