Pros

They provide the equipment to Work From Home. That is it.

Cons

No paid sick days. You have 3 unexcused days every 6 months. If you use an unexcused day and you don't have any PTO, you do not get paid for it. 89% of full time working Americans get paid sick days. Welcome to the 11%. I am a virtual technician, which is one position higher than inbound tech support. In an attempt to not identify myself, I will leave it at that. Today, I found out the inbound support (a position below me) makes more than me in their hourly rate. And no, we don't have bonuses. When the company failed to reach its projected earnings in 2022, instead of looking at unnecessary spending, the FIRST thing that was cut? 401k match. The job is for tech support, yet we are pushed to make two sales a month minimum. ADT also has implemented Mandatory Overtime (MOT) from August 2022 - February 2023. Hope you like being told you have to work more than what the job advertised! Do you like to be micromanaged and treated like a toddler? Apply today! If you wait more than 5 minutes between calls (mind you, this is our prep time, which is time to research the case / problem / solution and get any appropriate programs / websites pulled up and working) and you'll get a manager to reach out to you asking what you're doing. If you like added responsibilities and no added pay, this position would be great for you!

Pros

Benefit package is not too terrible.

Cons

Up to 3.75 hours between breaks. Penalized if you have to use restroom . Micromanaged by supervisors who dont actually understand the statistics they beat you with.

Pros

Steady work, but there is nothing more that I can think of, the pros would be a potential to outsource

Cons

Unfair management. The reps are on the internet, and talk with each other, more than take calls, yet management does nothing about it. At the end of the year the management will give better raises to their friends. I had one of the highest targets in after call work and handle time, but got one of the lowest pay increase. The employees cheat with their stats by putting the client on hold, or hanging up on them, then the client would phone back, and get mad at the individual that had actually taken the call, and then cancel, which goes against their stats. The retention managers have their favorites, and if you ask for something reasonable, like for the call center to quiet down, so you could take a call, the management would look at you as a complainer. Management never wanted to take escalation calls, and spent alot of times talking on conference calls, and alot over useless things. The director of the company would come to visit the Calgary office, but wouldn't speak to the people that wanted to speak to her and again the management's favorites for to see her. And the director would walk around as if in a fashion show, and discuss where she bought her last pair of 400.00 pair of shoes. Bottom line, very poor management, with no ethics or values. By the way, is give a 0 if I could
