I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sears (Milford, CT) in Apr 2011
Interview
The HR department was really hard to find, and it was even harder to make the HR person even crack a smile. I was recently assaulted, but the reason I did anyway was to prove to the attacker they didn't take over my life. I was confused as to what the definition of "Sales" was at Sears, and the interviewer was very rude to me, and snapped at me. She talked me out of the sales, and tried to talk me into the cashier position. I wanted to work in the clothing department, but she cut me off. I ended up not wanting to work at this Sears after this horrible experience. I felt bad because the other employees were very nice when I asked where the HR department was.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sears (Cerritos, CA) in Feb 2011
Interview
I applied one day and got a message in my voice mail the next day. I called back at the number and the receptionist said he was away. I called back a few hours later and was told he was in a meeting. I called back the next day and found out he was off that day. on the third day, i called one last time and he was in another meeting. so...there was no interview.
I am glad i missed the phone call as i could only wonder what its like to work here if someone has to do so much work to get in touch with a manager for an interview.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sears (Burbank, CA) in Mar 2009
Interview
I filled out an online application and got called in for an interview about a week later. I went through two interviewers. The first was a floor manager and that was pretty straight forward. The second was a middle management type and that one was also pretty straight forward. All in all it was really easy to get the job. I remember thinking "Wow, these guys must take any one."
