I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sears (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2012
Interview
Very brief, undemanding interview. I was initially turned down at another full-line Sears location (this is when the outlets and full-line stores were one company), but scored an interview at an outlet store. The manager and assistant manager asked me about my past retail experience, and whether I was comfortable using a register. The questions were mainly functional, and there were no behavioral questions.

Interview
Very short, concise, he cut right to the chase. There were no unnecessary questions, probably because it was for a sales job. You go into the manager's office and he/she asks you questions for about 20 minutes. Though consider mine didn't show up to our originally scheduled time...
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sears (Halifax, NS) in Aug 2015
Interview
Short and sweet I was in the office 45 minutes and hired on the spot. There was a role play where you would be selling a Mastercard. The usual questions regarding background, goals and long term plans. They asked for picture ID and another piece of identity. The lady who interviewed was energetic and really put me at ease. Didn't see much of her after being hired.
