The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sears (Bronx, NY) in Mar 2012
Interview
It was so long, lots of situational questions. It was easy and fair. Very nice people, they made me and others feel very comfortable. They sat us in a room and did a group interview and then one on ones. I loved their format of the group interview
I went to a job fair at Sears and was first interviewed by an assistant store manager who asked questions related to the position, and if I would be able to do the tasks. Then, I was interviewed by the store manager who was really friendly. He only asked one question, loved my answer, and hired me on the spot.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sears (Houston, TX) in Sep 2016
Interview
I applied Monday night and got a call on Thursday asking me to come in for an interview on Friday. I had to wait 30 minutes because the manager was in a conference call. Other than that, everything went well and it was extremely easy. I was asked two questions and then hired on the spot. He said that I would get an email after the interview that would ask me to complete a background check and drug test, and if I passed I would begin orientation the following week.
