Interview
I had to meet with 3 different managers. This was the 3rd position that I applied for and was hired for, in my career with NYL, and that seems to be the norm. The interview and hiring process is very slow, and if it is an internal move, managers tend to delay the transition. Sometimes they battle it out, Hunger's Game style.

Question 1
Describe an obstacle within your current role, and how did you overcome it.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at New York Life (New York, NY) in Apr 2016
Interview
I met with a very nice interviewer who went into great detail about the position, what it has to offer, and skills that are crucial to be successful in this industry. Great interview, however, the position was not what I was looking for. The licensing requirements were insurance-based (as expected) and I am more focused on going the securities route. In addition, I did not like the commission only pay structure.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (New York, NY) in Apr 2016
Interview
Easy interview process. Mostly personality and leadership questions, and elaborations on my resume. I had a phone interview with HR and a week later had a second phone interview with someone from the actual department I applied to. Both interviewers were very friendly and gave positive feedback.
