Pros

The individual contributors on this team are incredibly smart, capable, and collaborative. There’s a lot of experience and insight across the group, and when people work together, the quality of work is strong. I’ve also seen examples of great leadership in other parts of the organization, which shows what’s possible here.

Cons

Leadership (team lead) on my team feels underdeveloped and overly focused on task management rather than people leadership. Many team leads appear to have been promoted without the experience needed to coach, mentor, or empower others effectively. There’s a heavy emphasis on output without meaningful recognition of impact, experience, or professional growth. 1:1s tend to be one-directional and focused on what’s not going well, with little constructive coaching or positive reinforcement. Public recognition and team encouragement are also lacking, which has taken a toll on morale. There’s minimal investment in team building or professional development unless initiated by individual contributors. Cross-functional collaboration is also inconsistent, with a noticeable “not my job” mentality that creates silos and friction. Performance Improvement Plans seem to be used more frequently than expected and can feel more reactive than developmental, which adds to the overall pressure rather than supporting growth.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your recognition of the talented people across the team and take your concerns seriously. For the past two years, we’ve run annual anonymous leadership surveys across all levels of people leadership to gather candid feedback and help shape development priorities, culture, and enablement efforts, and we plan to continue that practice. We’re also investing in leadership growth through a management master class series, executive coaching, and ongoing development opportunities. Recognition remains an important focus for us, both in terms of output and impact, as well as the creative problem-solving and activities that drive results. We are incredibly proud of the talent across the CSM organization, and supporting their personal development is a key part of how we measure success. If you'd like to discuss your concerns further please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly or to your HR business partner. – Whitney Littman, ZoomInfo VP of Customer Success

Pros

-good company to have on the resume -decent learning opportunities -amazing colleagues, not management

Cons

-office is in the middle of no where Waltham, MA -certain teams have special privileges, but the same quota as the rest, making it difficult to hit quota. -leadership are LIARS. they get joy manipulating their workers. They tell one person something, and someone else something else. - favoritism at its finest, different quotas for different people based on politics. -quota is month to month. you hit quota 2 days early? congrats. now start working towards next month. -no quota relief if you take vacation (if you miss a few days for vacation there's no way you're hitting that month) -overtime is almost required in order to hit quota. So have fun commuting to Waltham, working overtime, then commuting home every day. -8 AM start time. you're required to be sitting at your desk and dialing by 8 am, so you better get to the office at 7:30 / 7:45, and start annoying prospects at 8am -MICROMANAGING!!! you'll be slacked if you don't make a dial for 15-20 minutes. why haven't you dialed lately, whats going on? -working hours - 8AM - 4:30PM with a STRICT 30 minute lunch (you will also be slacked about this too) -no clear promotion path. so many people are waiting to become an AE, but they don't need any -they'll mess up your compensation, then make you wait another month to receive it, so you're living off a VERY SMALL salary for a month. -no company culture, no holiday parties, lunches, or after work events. you go, work, and leave. they would prefer if you did not make friends, this was used against myself.

Pros

Senior Leadership is accessible and invested in removing barriers to help you win. The product-market fit is strong, and the tech stack gives reps a real competitive edge.

Cons

There's a lot to learn and the pace isn't for everyone, but the constant adaptation is a sign of strong market awareness. If you thrive in dynamic environments, it's energizing.
