      Pros

      Zimmer has the potential to improve patient care significantly. They currently have a great reputation in the marketplace and can you use this influence in the healthcare community to continue to improve patient care and the healthcare system.

      Cons

      The current focus of management is short term financial profit. This focus is putting long-term sucess of the compay in jeopardy. One example of the negative effects of this strategy is that many very good and experienced employees have left the company and this puts the company in a tough place when it comes to actually creating new and innovative products to improve patient care in the future.

      Some great products. There are also a few good and helpful colleagues

      Cons

      Clueless yet arrogant management. Does nothing and does not empower people below to do anything. Closes one eye to corrupt practices of the sales force and yet says that they are committed to ethical practices. No strategy or direction.

      Can really learn about the hip and knee group

      Cons

      too many people are related and given preferential treatment if they were born there. I was paid $20k less and I had the credentials and the other person was paid the equivalent of a Manager or Director and only had a high school diploma. Cannot enforce compliance as too many people know each other and go to the bar together so the rules are made to be broken. I think it could be a good company if it wasn't so inbred and there was some integrity. They should learn how to pay people of their worth and not cheat folks.
