      Poor management, bad culture

      Pros

      Good, dedicated Production people. Decent product

      Cons

      Poor people management. Changed 8 or 9 HR people in 3 years. HR does not like to resolve people issues but rather sends it back to Supervisors. President lives behind closed door. Major talent leaving weekly. They blame high turnover on external factors.

      Pros

      Excellent product; people passionate about the work. Benefits okay, not great.

      Cons

      Lack of support and communication from the shared services departments (HR, IT, etc.) which made it an extremely difficult working environment when your position reports into/dotted lined to one those departments. No accountability. Pay and annual raises are a lot lower than market. No career pathing/track due to flat structure.

      Zeiss used to be a good name, have good products and a good company to work for.

      Cons

      Walmart brand. Terrible leadership. Discriminatory culture. Lies, lies, then more lies. Slashed every employee benefit. Competitor companies are crushing Zeiss Vision.
