Pros

It's amazing to work for an organization that has such a huge impact on our world's business leaders for the positive - through education. Not only are the members themselves amazing & driven individuals, but so are all the associates of the YPO-WPO International team. Everyone comes together under the common goal to become a better leader in a haven of trust while bringing along as many as they can, be they business leaders or the support team. Every. Single. Day.

Cons

Sometimes the intense collaborative atmosphere leads to an excess of meetings and delays to allow for maximum participation. Idea exchange is at the heart of YPO, but sometimes coordinating a meeting with everyone present leads to delayed projects or a work-life balance leaning slightly towards work. Although the work-life balance is one of the focuses of Senior Leadership right now, it'll be good to see it come to fruition.

Pros

Members of YPO share three common attributes: the achievement of success at an early age; a commitment to learning as a lifelong adventure; and a desire to connect authentically in an environment of trust and confidentiality. And, it is my experience that the management of YPO are equally dedicated to ensuring that all members leverage all the assets, resources, opportunities and advantages of YPO membership to help reach their personal and professional goals. The management of YPO are dedicated to enriching each member’s lifelong journey of leadership, growth and significance through education and idea exchange.

Cons

Because this is a truly global organization, it often means working unconventional hours to be accessible to members across the globe.
