Pros

- Everyone is super committed to working at Wise and believe in the mission - Great product - Fantastic benefits and overall scope of work and scope for your career - Great ambition - Your peers will really support you if you stay on the right side of them

Cons

- Individualistic behaviour hidden behind autonomous structure - People who have been at Wise a long time manipulate situations behind the pretence of them knowing best when really it is just workplace politics that result in nothing useful - If you don't fit the Wise mould you are treated as a problem - Minimal support from your manager

Pros

Great people Good office Good benefits And good location I guess

Cons

Do you have a disability? Do you need assistance? Do you need FMLA? Well then be prepared to be fired. Anyone who ever has applied for it were shortly after terminated from the company. So they WILL find any reason to get rid of you and in Florida they don't need much. They over work customer service who already basically does every other departments job. They pretend to care for transparency but hides where the money they are saving from the virus. The benefits and awesome but they have been slowly taking them away one by one. The systems you have to rely on are a nightmare to navigate. They let anyone be a manager even if they have no management experience at all. And once you are one then you are immune to any "feedback" or repercussions of any kind. The training is awful. They don't teach you any customer service skills at all and barely help anyone new. At the end of the day since COVID 19 hit they been trying to fire CS agents as much as they can. Not only to save cost but so they can give them reduced benefits and pay.

Pros

- You won't have to think at all! Every minute of your day will be scheduled and you'll become a pro at using templated responses! You won't even have to type a greeting because you are not there for your ability to think but to mindlessly answer the millions of questions that wouldn't be asked if the product functioned the way it should - You'll be gaslighted into thinking how lucky you are to work there so you won't even realize you're being taken advantage of and paid crap - You can do an unpaid internal internship! You can be subcontracted to another team for no additional pay and the empty promise of career advancement. - You'll be so ingrained with the values that you won't even think twice about your mental health or well-being because there is no place for saying you need a break in the mantra "customers > team > ego"

Cons

- Leadership finally admitted that you only have the illusion of a flexible scheduling...bummer!

I’m really sad to hear this was your experience with us and is the opposite of how we want people to feel, in particular your concerns around compensation. We're regularly reviewing our salary ranges to ensure they continue to be competitive, and we review salary ranges for all employees globally at least every 12 months. As you know, in addition to salary we offer competitive stock options for all employees to share in the long term success of our company. We have an open feedback culture so we hope you felt able to share this feedback with your team lead or a member of the People Team when you were with us. Any other info or feedback you'd like to share with us can help us improve our culture and would be much appreciated, so if you'd like to chat to a member of the People team I can arrange a chat? If you send an email to employerbrand@transferwise.com I can connect you. Best wishes, Jihan
