Pros

International community Absolute majority of colleagues are talented, polite and hardworking people Lot's of events are happening all the time

Cons

You don't get to visit the events, enjoy treats, pizza or anything else because you should be working. In order to meet the required KPIs, you should work at least 1-2 hours extra a day, you should refrain from using the bathroom or having breaks. required KPI's to 'stay on the job' are raised quarterly, but you get no support, no additional tools to actually meet those requirements. Leads, QA, area leads, directors of department and other people have no idea how to do your job, but they are there to control every movement and timings of yours to make sure that you do it 'right and on time'. Management is the worst, they always lie, they treat you horribly, pretending to be on your side. HR will always be on the management side, no matter what, even if it's the whole team complaining about their lead. You can't raise your voice, you can't change the way things are done, you can't improve anything. Take it or leave it. If you show a slight sight of dissatisfaction with anything - you will be forced to shut up or leave. My worst work experience ever.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're pleased to hear that you appreciated the people you worked with and the international community Wise offers. We're truly sorry to hear that you didn’t had a good experience at Wise when it came to KPIs and management. Our goal is to help our customers as quickly as possible when they need assistance and setting KPIs helps ensure we’re able to meet this goal and identify gaps where we may need to invest in the future. Implementing KPIs aims to provide clear expectations and support, helping team members align their efforts with our overall goals. We believe that a well-structured performance management framework not only aids individual growth but also enhances teamwork and collaboration. These KPIs are designed to not be burdensome but to guide and support, paving the way for personal development and improved outcomes. I do hope you were able to pass on your feedback before you left. It's difficult to take action unless issues are known about. If you're up for sharing more, we’d be keen to understand more about your experiences so that we can improve this for Wisers in the future. Please drop us an email to employerbrand@wise.com and I can connect you with the relevant person. Nicola

Pros

Benefits met some awesome people

Cons

Wise's approach to training lacks sufficient support before transitioning to solo live calls, coupled with challenging tool usability. The undisclosed probationary period and the potential extension, leading to termination, were surprising omissions during the interview. Constant procedural changes create a steep learning curve, amplifying the struggle for consistency. The pursuit of improvement at Wise seems to come at the expense of agent well-being. Despite advocating inclusivity and employee accommodation, there's a contradictory increase in pressure through tedious and micromanaging performance statistics, contributing to burnout and mental health strain. The implementation of a shift bidding system appears flawed, resulting in erratic schedules that doesn’t align with agents' preferences. Recent sweeping changes, notably increased phone time for Customer Service agents and the mandatory two full weekends per month, add further strain. Addressing these concerns and then some would be beneficial for the company but the only thing CS gets is a “Thank you for all you do” and pointless a** meetings

Pros

The ONLY pro to this position was my coworkers. I loved them so much and we got along great as a team.

Cons

PLEASE BE CAREFUL. This is my personal experience: From the start, during Wise training, the company emphasizes that you will be lost, confused and freak out your first year of working there. This is very true. The reason this is true is due to the extreme amount of change and updates constantly happened in protocols/guidelines for CS to abide by. Aside from that, the Social Media ATX team was brand new when I started. The Team Lead (your boss) started at the same time with all of us. She does not know how to be a team leader and is not someone you can rely on for questions being answered or for accountability when it comes to scheduling one on one meetings. Your first 3 months out of training is considered “probation” this means you’ll be monitored and expected to meet a very unattainable set of metrics. Not kidding no one on our team was meeting all metrics during this time. My personal experience during probation had me extremely stressed and afraid I’d be losing my job the next week or so if I didn’t perform well. I brought this up with my Team Lead in our one on one meetings that if there’s anything I’m not doing or ever a chance I could be let go to please give me a warning so I can prepare. She emphasized she thought I was fine I was showing improvements each week and she didn’t think I had to worry. So I kept working hard and eventually passed my probation period. Fast forward a month later, my metrics were the best they’ve ever been (I was meeting 2/3) and my only meeting since with her was when she told me I was doing great and passed probation. I get called into a random meeting with her and HR and she states I’m being let go due to “performance and out of queue time” Never once was I told I was ever being considered that this was an option, never once did she mention I was ever out of queue or not being productive. I was feeling confident again with my position and thought I was doing well but apparently not according to her. As mentioned in my Pros, I loved my coworkers. We all were in it together and we all were trying our best to learn and get through the changes together. The lack of miscommunication and stress levels are insane with this company. This position should not cause people to go to HR and the people’s team for mental health visits within 3 months time of being there.
