Pros

Easy to break into the world of FX. Good people I worked with for the most part. Can make decent money. Infrastructure is in place.

Cons

Where do I start. Very mismanaged, extremely low morale. Lost most of its most talented employees. The merging of 3 companies did not go well. Very disorganized senior management with no clear direction. Doesn't seem like the company knows what it wants to do.

Pros

Ability to work in a multicultural environment. Subsidized lunches that are pretty decent. Interesting work.

Cons

Total comp is not competitive because of changes to bonuses (much smaller and shifted more to RSUs that will depreciate). The company has eroded benefits and perks as much as possible, but I'm sure they will find more ways. There is not much room for career advancement and your pay quickly becomes uncompetitive. Leadership values corporate speak without results more than competency. Things take too long to release to customers. There are too many priorities for the workforce so it leads to delays, burnout, and turnover. Employee evaluations are really just a popularity contest. The company cannot sustain its dividend payments for more than a couple years and needs to be acquired or go private to have a chance of survival. For now, there is a lot of restructuring, layoffs, toxic competitiveness, turf wars, and a focus on things that have nothing to do with improving revenue. Every time I come back from a few days office, there is an important departure or layoff.

TOXIC TOXIC TOXIC

Pros

Other than office location , there is NOTHING positive about this company.

Cons

I never knew a company could cause PTSD but after my time at Western Union, I most definitely have it. The Executive Team is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. HR does not care anything about employee well-being, they are only there for the company. They don’t divulge true results in employee surveys. The CEO’s Chief of Staff is a nasty human being with zero morals. The most TOXIC work environment I have ever worked in.
