Sinking ship

Pros

Competitors are doing much better. Current leadership lacks the ability to run this company.

Cons

Dirty politics being played by the site leader in pune. He has filled most of the senior positions with his favourites, completely disregarding the skill and performances. His own team performed terribly. He has been recently removed from payments responsibility. He should also be removed from QA responsibilities. Company has incurred huge losses due to mistakes made by payments and QA team.

Toxic sinking ship

Pros

It's better than welfare or being homeless.

Cons

Terrible leadership that doesn't value employees at all. Compliance and risk department was been majorly slashed and all talent and knowledge has left. Shouldn't be long before one of the regulators hammers them with a fine, CEO has managed to drive the company value into the dirt since taking over (market cap is literally at 50% of what it was when he started) but he is making $13 million a year so he probably doesn't care.

Pros

Recognized brand to work for. Company perks and learning platforms are good. Most team members work hard to contribute to company success.

Cons

Core platforms still run on a lot of legacy which creates several limitations for improvements and innovation. Career growth in company is very limited. Several team leaders are very insecure about their jobs and try not to mentor teams, in order to hold on to their jobs. Extremely difficult to get a raise or promotion. Extensive turnover of leadership team with significant changes every year. Sr. Management in the Tech leadership team seem to lack a good understanding of payments, and do not work well with Product teams, which creates several roadblocks when trying to improve against the competition.
