Get Back to Talent Development

Pros

This company overall drives passion for the product and the customers. You can't help but feel proud every time you walk into your store. They also compensate very well and offer a ton of gratis/buy-ins. You work VERY hard, but at least they pay really well. It's also nice to see hard workers who maybe don't have college degrees earn a comfortable living based off skill and work ethic. PTO is great as well, but you have to really make sure you plan it out with blackout being about 30% of the year.

Cons

The company is lately getting away from talent development and just driving dollars. I don't feel they are investing in their future since many of our associates see how overworked management is, they lack desire to grow into rise roles. Even with solid bonus and pay structures positions turn quickly because the pressure is really high. Upper management can make you feel disposable at times, and feedback used to be valued, but lately falls on deaf ears. Shrink is out of control and there is little support for in store ORC. I also love the company values, but feel like the company only follows them when it is convenient or doing well.

Pros

30% discount, monthly gratis, biggest store in Europe, beautiful store, wonderful brand, flagship store, great for your resume, amazing people.

Cons

Too many cons to be honest. I wouldn't waste my time applying for such an awful company. Great brand but to work there is a nightmare. No social/work life balance very long hours, late finishes, disorganised management, too much pressure on selling, SPAH (sales per Associate hour), hitting targets and making money. The commission scheme is a joke too. Selling team get 3% senior sales 8% other job roles and departments are told and advised to sell/up sell but don't get any commission at all. Managers favourite a lot of people, seems like you have to kiss their bum holes to get promoted. The turn over rate is disgusting. Staff always leaving new staff joining for them leave again after 3 months. when I left the company 6 other people left the same day/week and I have recently heard that 30 people have handed their notices in within 10 days including managers. The store manager is clearly not doing anything about this matter, because if I was a store manager and could see so many people leaving, I would question what the problem is. It's not worth the money, time or stress to be honest. I was only there for 7 months but was relieved when I finally walked out those doors. I learnt nothing about bras/ measuring during my 7 months there as I was stuck behind the tills all day for 8 hours!! They sell you so much dreams at the interviews/ training but in reality is was probably the worst job and experience I have ever had.

Pros

The store always smelled amazing, so you always smelled amazing. Working there is like working in a girls dream come true. Commission is 3% of sales, and as the items are quite expensive it adds up.

Cons

Managers had clear favourites. Based in different areas each shift and depending which area in would depend on how much sales you make. Example, t shirt collection was not as expensive or popular as Very Sexy collection, so of course this generates a lot less commission. If managers liked you, then they placed you in the best areas. Also, you get your sale if the customer remembers your name at checkout, so if your coworker was unfair, they may intercept a customer with large sales and say their name briefly, and usually the customer just remembers the last name mentioned unless you let a GIANT impact on her or shopped with her for a lengthy amount of time. Also, changing room attendants often stole customers too, as a customer may forget name after helping her so long, then go try on the stuff picked out then the changing room attendant would say thanks my name is.. and then customer goes straight to checkout.
