Pros

Ethical company. Good interaction with teams across the world. Large ecosystem within Uniever which helps understand how global companies are run.

Cons

Friends, I have worked in this company for several years now. I have seen this place change in front of my eyes for the worse. I tell you, Do not join at assistant manager or senior manager levels. You will never get promoted on normal terms. Be prepared to spend many many years at the same level with no salary raises. I dont blame the company though, it is not relly growing market shares. Meanwhile you will see college kids sail through just because they are from "development programs". You will see that people who worked at lower salaries than you cross you over in a few years. If you still do join, best is to stay for a year or two , get the brand name and move out. Have a clear exit plan from the moment you join, if you do plan to join. Make no mistake, you will be squeezed till the last bit of free time from your life is removed.

Pros

Unilever has a great workplace and world class company policies and which cares for it's employees

Cons

But the local management in Financial Shared Services in Bangalore has made it a hell. employees will not get any respect and reward for what they do and managers treat you like animals . they do not have any concern for employees working under them. only because of company policies some can survive otherwise they will make your life hell. Employees will be working for more than 12 hours at least 10 days in a month. all the above are specific to Financial Shared services in Bangalore.
