Pros

Global company, so you can move abroad (but you'll have to make it happen for yourself as not supported by HR). Flexible working conditions... depending on manager

Cons

- Non-existent handovers (“sink or swim” policy from day 1) - Little to no recognition of work done - No prioritisation from senior management and stretched resourcing, leading to high employee turnover and burnout for those who stay - Career development heavily dependent on politics rather than merits - Short-term focused management decisions with cost cutting approach - Despite having some “brands with purpose”, purpose not embedded within the organisation

Not The Same Unilever

Pros

Good Work/Life Balance Competitve 401K Matching Great Career Opportunities **on the right team**

Cons

Office Closures along with Internal Hiring Freezes have dropped office morale considerably. The company would prefer to limit headcount; hire temporary hires; and train over the same material repeatedly, rather than reinvest in current employees and promote internally and reward workers. Culture has changed considerably over the past years, senior management seems no longer concerned with investing in employees, only cutting costs. Benefits are expensive and salaries lag under industry average.

Pros

Friendly colleagues, good laugh, agile working, fair pay for doing nothing.

Cons

Self congratulatory top management. I honestly believe Polman believed he was the Messiah. Advancement was achieved by becoming a disciple. No idea how the company manages to run. The most inefficient place I've ever worked in. Nobody does anything. Anything interesting & meaningful is outsourced then workers are sent on courses about finding their purpose. Crazy equality quotas. Was personally in a team where 100% male workers got made redundant & 100% female workers were retained. Henchwoman was on £5k a day & got a massive bonus for this great achievement, I achieved depression. How do these people sleep at night.
