Pros
Job Security, benefits. The pay is decent for someone with no college. The benefits are your average benefits, but not free. You still have a premium. The job security is good because of the powerful union, but you also pay big union dues. The USPS is downsizing due to technology so you will become full time quicker. There are many different positions within the Unites states postal service and you can also bid on the jobs easily and as frequently as you want. the best jobs are carriers for giant buildings, the worst are city carriers and those who work in the big processng centers.
Cons
Management is defined as the person who has the coldest heart and who has the least amount of personal skills. I think my dog could manage better. They manage like the old stly of management, basically push people around and threaten them. The postal service is known for it's injuries. they even have their own doctors to cover them up. Carrying mail these days is not like it was. It will destroy your body if you do it long enough. The Union is expensive but works against you, and if you are injured on the job, prepare to work injured as they are know to drag lawsuits out until you are broke, and good luck ever finding an attorney to take the case.
