Pros

The depth and breadth of expertise within the company is astounding, and is surprisingly easy to access. If there is anything you need to learn about in the construction industry, Turner employs the nation’s leading experts in pretty much everything.

Cons

1. Career paths outside of Construction Operations have a low ceiling - only people who have come up through the engineering path can reach executive level positions. There is a general lack of respect for employees who are not in Ops. 2. Attitudes about general work practices are solidly old-school, especially for the minority of staff who work in the office full time. No flexibility about hours, working off-site, dress code, etc. None of it’s a real hardship, but it doesn’t quite feel like we’re a progressive industry leader in that respect.

Pros

coworkers are great, cool projects, large resources

Cons

upper management fights and does not care about employees, often given less than a weeks notice to move hours away (even if you have family), can't win work, known for bid shopping to subcontractors, unable to estimate self-perform, outdated computers and technology
