      Good Starting Company After College

      Pros

      good money when starting. Overtime is paid for the first year. A lot of learning opportunities! also a lot of options to transfer to different positions (I more or less stayed in the same because I like it)

      Cons

      After the first 2 years, my responsibility grew much more. I still earned more my first year from all the OT. The company lacks a good retirement plan. They match up to 5% for 401K.

      Learning Institution, Great place to start your career.

      Cons

      Unless you're someone's son, niece or best friend, the likelihood or growing into a senior management position is slim to none. There are a lot of cliques and very little peer support. Compensation is also very low as compared to the marketplace

      Pros

      People in the field are hard working and concerned about each other. Great place to learn the construction industry and leave for a better company.

      Cons

      Executive management in the Bay Area, will lie to your face. They are only interested in the bottom line. Vice Presidents directed their managers to give poor reviews so they wouldn't have to give raises.
