Pros

Location, friendly co-workers, and hours

Cons

Client service is horrible, annuities are pushed on all clients, once you're invested you are forgotten.

Our Client Services team is one of the hardest working teams in the building, to say otherwise is disingenuous. Annuities account for approximately 25% of our business in any given year - this was true well before you joined and I'd imagine will be true going forward - that fact is not hidden and nothing is ever "pushed". Our production numbers are cascaded to all employees monthly. Our Portfolio Managers are some of the best in the business and never forget about our clients - communication is coordinated at client on boarding, whether quarterly, annually or somewhere in the middle. Best of luck to you.

Pros

Trajan Wealth is a well-oiled machine is what I can say. They manage wealth in-house, have their own ETF, manage over 2B, and were led by a great visionary and team when I was there. They are growing and always expanding. I would work there again in a heartbeat.

Cons

parking, but not a big issue.

Pros

The majority of my colleagues were an absolute joy to work with. They are hard working and team players through and through. The client services team, client development team, and the portfolio management team are truly what are keeping this company afloat. The health insurance is paid for by Trajan Wealth, but there is a limit on which plans are FULLY covered. They also offer a 401k plan and pension.

Cons

The management at Trajan Wealth needs to be evaluated. I cannot provide specific examples without compromising my anonymity. What I can say is that when problems are brought to the attention of management, they are not addressed in a timely manner or escalated to the proper channels. When employees discuss the problems and possible solutions as a group to bring to management, this is viewed as gossip and disparaging the company. This occurs across multiple departments. Trajan Wealth also operates heavily on metrics and tries to quantify customer service which is very difficult, if not impossible, to do. They have expanded the company too quickly and taken on too many advisors for the current staff to maintain a reasonable workload. There is very little room for advancement unless you start at entry level and whatever advancement is available is very difficult to obtain. The majority of management, in my opinion, are not leaders. When employees are overwhelmed with the workload that the company is responsible for, supervisors do very little to assist. The turnover rate at Trajan Wealth is higher than they report. In the approximately 3 years of my employment I recall at least 37 employees that were terminated or left on their own accord and it is a company with 100-150 employees.

With as much growth as we are experiencing, there are certainly challenges that are faced regularly. What those challenges are, is a matter of perspective and context. Great people are proactive, innovative, seek solutions, and appreciate being busy - it's those who will experience advancement. There are a few others like yourself, who squander their time with water cooler chatter, negative talk and gossip. Individuals who make excuses and attempt to compromise the integrity of the company won't advance and will be terminated, like you. If solutions were truly what you were after, anonymity would be the least of your concerns not your primary. You weren't employed for 3 years, less than 2 actually. Our turnover averages about 17% per year which is less than industry average. With some self reflection and a lot of maturity, you have the potential to be a valuable member of a different company some day. Until then, we wish you nothing but the best.
