Pros

I loved this job I miss it! I was mostly doing my own tasks through the day and they gave me my own office.

Cons

I was told if I was on PTO, I had to still take on call calls. It was difficult to maintain a work life balance especially with an on call schedule that was not fair to all employees.

Pros

Working with Survivors is difficult work, but rewarding when you see successes - big and small. Many of the colleagues are wonderful people with passion for this mission.

Cons

many survivors have co-morbidities that can contribute to an array of behaviors, outburst, and other issues that can sometimes make the work emotional and thankless. Luckily, this is often outweighed by the pros.

Pros

My colleagues, for sure, we are like a huge family. Especially during covid we relied heavily on each other. Some of the management are solid and show us that they really care.

Cons

The work is hard and can be traumatizing. We listen to a LOT every day. Promotions aren't all that easy to come by. You have to be in your role for at least a year.
