Pros

Shift patterns and holidays bonus opportunities with good performance rating subsidised breakfast/lunch/dinners

Cons

Incompetent team leaders lacking proper leadership skills No progression unless personally favoured by management and in the social circle. Your work ethic, consistency, and workload have little impact on career advancement Punishing workloads with unrealistic expectations - delays are used against you in reviews Annual "1" rating unfairly given to hard-working staff, removing bonus Career progression influenced heavily by family connections within the company Chronic understaffing and overwhelming workloads head of department more interested in networking with women at work events than in supporting and developing team new starters expected to perform at full capacity immediately with minimal training and unstructured onboarding shifts are draining and morale is low although company promotes no blame culture, staff pressured into signing paperwork/deviations performance reviews performative rather than constructive or supportive very little psychological safety, expressing concerns, sharing feedback, or making jokes heavily discouraged and frowned upon corporate culture forced, prioritising appearance over authenticity senior management carry themselves as though above basic courtesies such as acknowledging/greeting staff shifts are mentally, physically and emotionally exhausting HR unresponsive and fails to properly investigate or address concerns

Pros

Decent pay, especially for an early career. Global leadership is awesome and has somehow managed to keep bonuses alive (except they get sued by hundreds of government agenices for fraud and lose almost all of them, but that was mostly previous leadership).

Cons

Local SLC QCmanagement disappeared for 2 years during covid. Things got more productive due to a lack of interference in the lab. After management returned lab quality and turnaround time got worse. Management is good at taking credit for others accomplishments and even better at deflecting responsibility for failures and throwing subordinates under the bus. Equipment is falling apart, and facilities are in disrepair. 30% of workforce has been laid off in last 5 years, so expect to accomplish at least 1.3 jobs each week in an already demanding 50+ hours/week industry with bizarre and complicated new product launches. Management will try to brainwash you with 'this product makes a difference' but its honestly just acne creams and testosterone patches. High turnover (25-35%ish per year). Overt racism and religious discrimination. You will overhear racial slurs. 60% of department is LDS but no LDS leadership. Longer tenured employees are toxic and aren't productive. Lots of new positions and titles and bonuses at the top, but few at the bottom. QC is the worst and most toxic, other departments in SLC are okay.

Worst hiring process

Pros

I am not sure of the work culture as I did not get the chance to work witg the company but I would like to share my experience of interview at Teva. I had cleared five rounds of interview. The whole process of interview took around one month and then they said they will let me know after the last round. The HR kept telling me that she would let me know by the end of that week. Then one fine day they called me up and told me to share my salary slip, increment letter, pan card and the two references from last company at the earliest. Two month have elapsed and I didnt get the offer letter. They called me after i send numerous email to their HR and told me that position has gone on hold and they will let me know as soon as they have any update. It's been 3 months now and I still don't have any information from them. I have never seen such unprofessional way of handling hiring in any company. Teva is a big brand in generic medicine sector but these people are tarnishing the image of the company. How can you take such confidential documents if you cant release the offer letter. If someone is giving their time and money for the interview they should update the candidate and they can't ask for such confidential documents if they cant release the offer letter. I will never forget this pathetic experience ever.

Cons

The HR team is unprofessional
