Pros

High Compensation even for this industry, generally nice people, good quality products (not speaking to all of the internal product issues)

Cons

Poor upper management. There is no clear focus or direction. No big picture mentality. Decisions are never made or shared with the rest of the organization, making you jump through hoops to do your job. Politics. Day to day, management just seems to have huge private agendas, turning their back to issues at hand. With all of their "private planning", no improvements are ever made. But you will then be expected to know details to the organizations issues and how to solve them, without ever hearing a peep from your director on what's going on. Irrelevant "quiz questions" to keep your on your toes. Every opportunity to collaborate on issues at hand become a platform to be judged and delegated by the leadership team. You will spend 20 percent of your time doing your job, the rest is a mess.

Pros

Medical benefits are a plus with this company.

Cons

Elkton has clueless leadership. New Product Development has not developed anything in years. They have plenty of people to fill the desk space and contiue to promote and expand their lounge area. Contribution to the plant NONE! The same situation in the manufacturing area. Engineers doing nothing with large salaries for all. While the manufacturing areas work very hard only to be told we are shutting down more areas. Where will the revenue to keep the factory open come from? TMC will close the doors due to salaries of people doing nothing day after day.

Pros

Good Health Benefits. Some very hard working & committed employees

Cons

Senior Management talks the talk but don't walk it. Favoritism to certain employees who are not selected for drug testing even though their management is aware of their problems. Over 15 year employees are lifers....they know they will not be touched and don't care about their actions. Ex. the CIO
