Pros

Smart people dedicated to a worthy cause. A good start in making a strong, sustainable non-profit that's continually doing things better.

Cons

Difficult to keep a good work-life balance. They talk about it, but it really is a workaholic culture. People are intensely dedicated...and expect you to be as well.
