Pros

Teach for America looks great on your resume and is especially helpful in setting you up for a future career as an ibanker or consultant.

Cons

I often felt more like a babysitter than a teacher. The organization seems to be more about self-promotion than actual service.

Pros

Teach for America is an organization with an amazing dream. It has set out to make a real difference in the world. It is full of young motivated individuals that are truly looking to make a difference.

Cons

The main problem with TFA is that the numbers that they are so proud to show are not entirely accurate.

Pros

Amazing colleagues, powerful and growing alumni base, strong career guidance, recognition amongst graduate schools, unparalleled opportunity to create change right out of college

Cons

long hours, schools can have bad administration, low pay, not 100% choice over your placement region. However, the benefits outweigh the negatives.
