Lovely Atmosphere but Discount and Rewards Minimal

Lovely people to work with we are all very close like a big family, flexible hours to work around education and personal life. Career progression is possible but rare.

Cons

Minimal benefits and rewards from the company, pushed into active selling with no commission and constantly pressing the loyalty card onto customers.

Pros

The company's culture is pretty open and fun, particularly in head office, but the culture is very different in stores. I wouldn't recommend anyone in retail to work in any of our stores due to the pressured culture and the never ending tasks to deliver results with less and less resource.

Cons

Croydon, or more precisely the back end of an industrial estate near Croydon is really not very nice to work in and is very difficult to commute to. The building is old, tired and underinvested in for many years meaning the working environment isn't very nice at all. The pay is probably slightly below the market, hence a lot of people don't stick around very long before taking a better job with better pay and conditions in London. The biggest benefit is the bonus and your potential to achieve it. There are other benefits, but these are really quite poor and bordering on insulting.

Good benefits with the company such as bonus, staff discount and the benefits website which enables you to get discounts from other retailers.

Cons

Too much paperwork and not enough staffing hours each week to get the huge amount of tasking done.
