Pros

Starbuck's offers a decent health care package to it's employees that meet the required 240 hours per quarter, but the best benefit is the free drinks while you work! I can't imagine arriving at any other job at 4 in the morning without coffee.

Cons

In my experience, management has been slow to differentiate those that do a great job and those that do not. Hard work sometimes goes unrecognized and management always focuses on what behaviors need to be changed.

Pros

Wonderful people! The company if very passionate about their customers and their standards for cleanliness, freshness, and customer service go above and beyond! You go through extensive training to be knowledgeable about the drinks and the coffee that you're selling. Starbucks definitly takes the time to make sure you're happy and that you know what's expected of you and how to deliver legendary customer satisfaction.

Cons

Starbucks isn't for everyone. It is a fast-paced atmosphere, and in order to give the best service you need to be alert and able to move fast. This job isn't an "easy" "sit-around" kind of job. Also, how well tips you get really depends on the neighborhood your store is in. My store unfortunatly only gets between $0.50 and 1 dollar per hour weekly. But there are several stores around me that make more around $2 per hour.

Pros

the type of worker that most starbucks tend to attract is enjoyable...

Cons

advancement issues, poor decision making at the top causing the individual stores to suffer...the company was so overly concerned with expansions that we became bloated and now, our employees are suffering for it, but it is necessary at this point. it is extremely hard to bunus even when your store does 1 million+ a year.
