Pros

Free classes, discounts on apparel

Cons

The managers are all extremely difficult and unprofessional to work for. There is a sort of 'girl gang' of a select few who have been there forever and not done anything else, so they have an allegiance formed. They are very hard to work for and extremely nitpicky. They have an attitude if things are not done how they prefer, however they will not lift a finger themselves. Overall not an accommodating environment, The pay is also very poor and the managers are not flexible about schedules. Soul Cycle is kind of run like a factory.

Pros

Any employee can ride for free and managers can ride on shift

Cons

Going from part time to full time seems like a great idea until you understand what you're worth is to the company. They set managers up for failure with ineffective training and unsupportive feedback. They move you around from studio to studio with little to no warning. Studio managers can be incredibly supportive if you have a good one but most will throw you under the bus to make themselves look better when things go wrong. They started a new "training" website called The Wheel which just makes it harder and more complicated to find information thats at all helpful. The studio environments can be incredibly catty and negative which isn't surprising since part time staff are made to feel they run the studios and the majority are 18-25 years old. The hours are irregular to say the least and you are expected to come in early or stay late if needed (which is with any job but come in early means 530am here) and there is zero work life balance. You are expected to drink the kook-aid and if you don't, you won't make it any hirer in the company.
