Pros

Super supportive company; I have never seen so many people who expressed interest in going further within the company be promoted so quickly. If you want to grow with SoulCycle they will find a way to make it happen! Free classes are a fantastic work perk.

Cons

Not a super high paycheck as a Front Desk team member. Free classes make this a little more understandable, but it doesn't help pay the bills. Still, it's such a positive work environment and, as I mentioned, if you want to grow and work hard to make that paycheck bigger they will support you!

Pros

Teaching itself was a blessing. The riders and front desk staff are usually friendly, and the community out in the field is what kept me going.

Cons

Aside from the toxic political environment... 1) The pay was abysmal, regardless of how many years you'd been teaching at the company. Even with the recent pay structure changes, the vast majority of instructors still make far less than what they used to back when the old CEOs were in charge. In expensive cities such as LA, DC, and NY, it is close to impossible to have this as a full time occupation. 2) Zero health benefits (for a job that solely relies on your health) unless you've been at the company for about a year. 3) Vacation days are a joke. They're denied repeatedly and instructors essentially have to beg for them. 4) The largest problem: zero communication between corporate teams. This directly affects the instructors' lives, their schedules, and their careers.
