Pros

Good Accor hotel stay employee discount card. (Which takes 4 months minimum to receive)

Cons

- Racist and discriminatory environment - you will be belittled even if you try to suggest improvements or different solutions or methods. - If you belong to the caucasian ethnicity, you’ll be just fine. Otherwise stay away from a toxic environment that will treat you with injustice and often times disrespect. - If Sofitel was really successful as they claim, it wouldn’t be the only Sofitel property in Canada, compared to the various and abundant Accor hotels - Management create a toxic and unfriendly environment that will not encourage you to perform or to stay there long. - more than 95% of the hotel employees are caucasian (which is not generally a problem). But it speaks in volume, to portray the evident culture that the General Manager is willing to adopt. Hence, with an immense lack of diversity, it stands against most of Accor’s core values. - Will often reduce employee hours to save some money, and this will be highly encouraged and pressured to the managers. - Limit opportunities for growth and difference of opinion is not welcome. - No matter your experience, wether rich or poor, you’ll experience remarkable and flagrant favouritism compared to a caucasian employee, it will be so loud and clear that you will perceive it as intentional. - Aggressive behaviours from some colleagues is disregarded when they belong to the same majority ethnicity.
