Pros

There is great potential to make a lot of money and learn many new skills that can be very valuable. If you can do a job quickly and efficiently, you will be appropriately compensated.

Cons

Because of the pay structure, paychecks are closely tied to the economy and stock market. There is a base hourly rate with a guarantee of at least minimum wage, but that is a strict minimum. Basically you are paid for the work that you do. If you are just learning a new skill, that will affect your pay. Also, any time you don't have any work to do, that pulls your net hourly rate down.

Pros

A long standing blue chip company that knows it's long term +20 year Technicians are the back bone of their service. Without the 14,000 field Technicians, Sears would be another Home Depot or Lowe's.

Cons

Few, only job more secure for a high performance worker would be a government job. Poor performers find things more difficult.

Pros

Consider working there only if you can't get employed any where else. The entire system is broken. The point of sales system is cumbersome and the computers which are supposed to assist in sales are perpetually malfunctioning.

Cons

You are treated as chattle. Dogmatic directives are pronounced from on high from people who clearly have no idea what the trenches are like, and have never functioned in the job they are now telling you how to do.
