Pros

Ample parking. Great science. A place to pick up skills that could serve you better elsewhere.

Cons

Absolutely stifling bureaucracy. Reorg after reorg. Patronizing and arrogant leadership without trust in the organizations they manage. A lack of clear leadership vision. Next to no US R&D autonomy makes everything absurdly slow, France calls the shots. Politics galore. Silo city. Laughable 1% salary increases for all year after year. Disillusioned and highly frustrated employees, many of whom are now looking for an exit. Very, very sad to see this happen to what was once a great place to work.

Pros

I absolutely love working for this company. Great work life balance. Great career development support. Amazing benefits. The company has employee resource groups for just about every type of employee out there: LGBTQ? Yup. Asian American Pacific Islander? Yup. African American? Yup. New parents, or parents of special needs kids? Yup. What about commuting? Well, they subsidize just about every form of mass transit and on site parking (it's actually better if you use mass transit). On site fitness center, wellness rooms, starbucks, cafeteria? Yup, all that. For those on an annual incentive/bonus - it's pretty awesome as well. But what's the best thing about working here? The work I do actually helps treat people sick with some of the most pernicious diseases you can imagine. It's a great feeling working for a company that works not only on the flu and diabetes, but some of the most obscure rare diseases and cancers where there are only a few hundred people with the condition. It's rewarding, and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Cons

About the only one I can think of is the occassional 5am-8am conference call because of working with international offices overseas. The world doesn't all work on Eastern Time...

Pros

401k, paid time off. Maybe non research groups have better benefits

Cons

Sanofi first, employees last. Absolutely embarrassing pay hikes even with the fact that inflation is through the roof. Promotions are a rarity. Definitely non competitive with other big pharma companies. No work from home option even after a 20% production improvements over the pandemic period with a hybrid model
