Pros

Good for part time work when you have other life obligations to focus on. Recently they have been quite accommodating with my schedule and the need for time off.

Cons

Compensation is not so great compared to similar jobs in the same area. They tend to not want to fuss with the bad workers, and let them slide, and therefore the good workers often draw the short straw and get taken advantage of. In the past there were schedule issues, i.e. being scheduled to work outside of my availability, but for the last year or so this has not been a problem.

Pros

if you need part time, then it is somewhat good. Started out at reasonable salary.

Cons

Unfair treatment, being scheduled outside my "manager approved" availiblity. Poor raises, no reconignition for good work. When club management changes, usually it is for the worst. If you have a poor club manager, then you are screwed.

Pros

Sam's Club offers good salaries and decent benefits to it's assistant managers. This is a division of Wal Mart Stores Inc. so the stability of the company is never an issue. Forced relocation is no longer an issue as it was in the past.

Cons

Long hours, no balance of family time. The corporate office has a policy that if followed would give a fair balance of family time however, this policy is laughed at by General Managers and District Managers. To voice a concern to a higher level would bring about retaliation. Another downside is that feedback is not very well accepted on acted on.
