      Looks good on paper but the reality is very disappointing

      Pros

      - Majority of employees are good and talented people. - Many exciting projects with good opportunities to learn and move around. - Compensation and cafeteria are good.

      Cons

      - Executives at all levels lack clear vision, non-supportive and consistently flip-flop decisions. - Engineering teams live in their own world and don't interface well with product marketing. Probably due to poor integration of acquired companies. - "Throw under the bus" mentality across many teams instead of productive collaboration. - Unmanaged / ad hoc marketing and product launch procedures. - Many customer complaints about quality and promised releases / features - Regular layoffs.

      Pros

      Semi-flexible working arrangements means working from home is acceptable. Lots of travel involved to some really cool places (although recent cost cutting is slowing that down). Decent bonuses each year (usually between 5-10%). 5 weeks holiday in the UK is standard. Lower level bosses and directors are usually easy-going and understanding.

      Cons

      The workloads can really stretch you. The reward for completing work is more workload. There are people in the company who don't carry their weight, creating more work for everybody else and they aren't even disciplined. They are just left to themselves. The lay-offs affect the company globally meaning everybody has to suddenly do more than one or two positions at once.

      Family who keep firing their family members

      Pros

      - Salary is soo good that you will not get another job due to that - Work is soo less that you will become lazy to work in future - Good work life balance - They call you family - Every year they give you new laptops (yes that's true) they have so much extra money - They throw a lot of money on events (yeah but then dont have money left for appraisals) - They have people working since 35 years (may be because they became incompetent) - You can join as a Supervisor and soon promoted to Manager you just have to steal the credit. - if you are good looking, you will get promotion every year and from intern to Principal Product Manager within 4 years is very much possible - Whatever happens in Bangalore, stays in Bangalore

      Cons

      - No problems at all. You will not even see HR's face for years because she is busy having lunches with Company leaders. Such a nice gesture. - They keep calling you family and yet they fire you without a prior notice - Old employees used to say that they had ambulance ready outside office every time they are planning to fire family members. So nice of them. - They fire family members based on the personal relations of the manager - Top management is 70 year old guys sitting in Dallas not knowing Bangalore folks are enjoying their life here. - HR girls keep getting promotions because they are pretty.
