Pros

RS work with well known large clients

Cons

Long working hours minimum 8.30 -6.00pm but don’t be surprised if you work beyond this daily. Seriously, this isn’t a company for people looking for flexibility or a good work life balance. Poor middle management - mostly consists of those who have completed “career paths”, tick box exercise. Not individuals who have been successful or showcased good leadership qualities. Failed recruiters who want to kick back and go on an ego trip. Generally don’t promote as don’t like to give pay increases. Negative and demoralising environment. One too many career climbing bullies who have cozied up with decision makers to get to where they are. Favouritism is a thing. Health and well-being - it’s just words, great ideas they just need to actually implement it to all levels of the business not just those at the top. Salary and commission - Terrible, well below market standard. RS made so many people redundant over Covid and treated those left behind so badly, people are over worked and teams are far too lean, no wonder there is a mass exodus and now struggling to hire. Major client losses paint a bleak picture for the future of RS. Overall RS had been a great place to work but they have lost their way. When did people just become numbers? Be mindful when reading some of the reviews, staff are regularly hounded to write a positive review about their experience at RS. Feeling restless ? You sure will here.

Hello and thank you for your review of working with Resource Solutions. I’m really disappointed to hear that your recent experience has been so unhappy and negative. You raise a lot of different individual challenges in your review, so I think the best way to explore the reasons behind them, and then to explore ways we might be able to address them, is to have a candid, confidential conversation. If you would be willing to do that, please get in touch with either me directly or Sarah Horridge, our Head of HR in EMEA. Together, I’m hopeful we can find some solutions and make your onward experience with us more enjoyable and positive. Many thanks, Kirsty Adams (Chief People and Culture Officer, Resource Solutions)

Pros

Loves mediocre employees who do not go the extra mile. You don't need to be a thinker or add any ideas. You can come in late every day and leave early if you kiss the right person's behind. Heck! You even get promoted!

Cons

Does not value employees who go above and beyond. Does not care about your input, just shut up and do your job like a robot. Benefits are horrible with medical and dental. Most dentist still make you pay preventative because the benefits are so bad, it won't cover the preventative cleaning. Does not have any consistency whatsoever. Lies to their employees. Leadership is a revolving door. Will put the client above their employees instead of working on a partnership, so that everyone can be happy and still have needs met. We did have this at one time, but with change of leadership everything went down hill. Will most likely lose their clients in the U.S. because they are clueless. You can't have U.K. people try and run a U.S. account. These are people who thought DE to FL to OH to NV were all within a couple hours from one another.

Pros

20% discount at Gaucho - can't think of anything else!

Cons

Once you're placed on a client site, you're left to fend for yourself. Don't expect any support from your account manager - it's very very money driven - if you don't hit direct recruitment targets then expect to have to explain why. You'll also be given no support to push back to the client and have to be at their beck and call all the time. Absolutely zero flexible working for the team, only the management. So much churn in the team - just as you get used to a team member, they're fired (usually with no warning given) and a replacement is appointed without meeting any of the team first. Never again, I'd not recommend working at RS to a single person

Thank you for leaving a review. I agree that it's important to listen to our people, but I disagree with your comment that we don't support our people based on-site. While we may not have got everything right all of the time as we've grown so rapidly in recent years, we have invested heavily in providing the support that our people need. The full benefits of that investment might take time to embed, but we're committed to ensuring our people have the best support and the best performance review mechanism possible. However, I can't really comment on individual cases without knowing more of the detail, so if you'd be willing to reach out and email me at kirsty.adams@resourcesolutions.com we can start a confidential conversation that might help me explore some of your comments better. Many thanks, Kirsty Adams (Global HR Director - Resource Solutions)
