Pros
Free top and bottoms. Discount of 30% after 4 weeks. Easy to get a job. Nice clothes & rotation of stock.
Cons
Was verbally offered permanent contract, this conceded to temp when it came to signing. They said "they'd run out of paper contracts but I'd sign one later." Poor training - 10 hour induction day just said they assumed all staff were going to steal. I learnt NOTHING about actually working. Just got told how disciplined I'd be and how brilliant the brand was. Not once did I work hours I was offered initally but worked triple the max hours I stated on my application form. They did not ask me if I was ok with this and got irate when I said I couldn't work a shift because I was at school! Managers will follow different rules, i.e. one will say they need to check all returns, but another will get shirty with you every time you radio for them to come check it for you. Holiday requests denied 95% of the time. No H&S, they signed it off on my behalf when I asked for it and said "they'd do it later" - never did. Don't listen to your availability. When it came to the end of my contract, not one manager said a word to me. I simply wasn't on the rota for the next week despite being offered a permanent job which I had accepted and that my temp contract "was a mistake." Got my P45 through the post 4 days after my last shift. Entire dept of temp staff laid off without a word, we had to set up for a recruitment event for new candidates as well!
