Pros

MOney are good and packages are very good

Cons

Ritz- Carlton Management are very weak, they takes lot of pride in their job and they lack of Humblness. ALthought they reward al lot employees for the jobe done, they don't reward an employee for doing " really" a good job. Reward at the end of the day is given to everyone, including who doesn't deserve it! It turn to be feack and not natural. Ritz also has very stingy owner, and frequently the tools for a good managemnet of teh hotel, are not quite there. Very old forniture, computers, offices, equipment, kicthens,etc... Where I was in Dubai we were sharing 1 computer with 5 F&B Outlet. Other porperties doesn't even give e-mail access to Department Head, that says it all, about how the information are shared! LOL Ritz Carlton is the worst company I've ever worked for, and i wouldn't go back to work for them not even being payd double the salary i make now.

Pros

Brand recognition. There are a lot of marketing dollars and PR effort invested. It works effectively. Perception by those who are not guests is strong. Ratings by Four Seasons guests who've experienced Ritz are weaker. Marketing and PR teams are excellent. Creative. Edgy. Relevant. Locations. International opportunities.

Cons

1) Political organization. Tread carefully. Trust no one. Keep your head down and do your job. 2) Centrally organized. Not much left to an individual property. Uninspiring. 3) Finance processes are burdensome and difficult to navigate. Tasks take hours at Starwood that take days at Ritz. 4) Requires too many hours to get the job done. The talk about balance is just that - talk. 5) Too much time spent on Marriott absorption of Ritz. Economy is good cover. 6) Too many aspirational customers. Observe pricepoint between JW Marriott and Ritz - observe pricepoint between Ritz and Four Seasons. 7) Too much time required for accounting and personnel related administrative tasks. Not enough time on the restaurant floor with guests or associates.

Pros

The policy of empowerment is one of the best reasons to work for the Ritz Carlton hotel company. The job appeals to employees other motivational needs besides compensation.

Cons

The nature of the business means you must work on some holidays and weekends.
